Our original plan was to show a singalong version of Calamity Jane, but due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to show that film. We are showing the ever-popular Oklahoma in its place.
If you have bought a ticket for Calamity Jane, it will be valid for Oklahoma, but if you would rather have a refund please bring your ticket to The Globe where we will give you your money back.
Join us for a rousing singalong version of the 1955 American classic, based on the 1943 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.
It tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams (Jones) and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain (MacRae) and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry (Steiger). A secondary romance concerns Laurey’s friend, Ado Annie (Grahame), and cowboy Will Parker (Nelson), who also has an unwilling rival. A background theme is the Oklahoma territory’s aspiration for Statehood, and the conflict between cattlemen and farmers.
