The award-winning team at Network Distributing, Tim Beddows (Managing Director) and Jonathan Wood (Restoration Colourist) will be joining us for a special presentation of The Smallest Show on Earth.
A classic of British cinema made in 1957 it stars Virginia McKenna, Bill Travers, Margaret Rutherford, Bernard Miles, Leslie Philips, Sidney James and of course – Peter Sellers. When a young couple find out they have inherited a cinema in the North of England, they decide to bring it back to life as a magnificent picture palace, with all the hilarious trails and tribulations that entails.
Since 1997, Network Distributing has been committed to restoring archive films and television shows, many of which are classics – The Prisoner, The Sweeney, Man in a Suitcase. Working with major studios, they have brought back a wealth of incredible material that would have otherwise been lost.
The showing is followed with a Q&A with Tim and Jonathan to talk about the restoration process and the ongoing work at Network.
